Friday's Travels...

Started with a visit to a gallery where my buddy
Alex works. Shoes pretty much define the man.

Wrap a Cindy up for me hehe... Put it on lay away.

Saw Transcendent Man at the Tribeca
Film Festival with a friend after that.
Awesome movie. How we will become
robots in the future, and be able to blow
shit up with our eyes. No in all seriousness
it's a really powerful philosophical movie
that is a must see.

Boris took us to some secret society shit at Norwood,
which was very chill and made for a good start to the
night haha. Drinks were healthy, place was dope.
Walking over to the club saw some nice Graffiti in the
meat packing before going out.

Alex Pall of Chain Smokers and Berrie were spinning
at a spottery barn downtown. Good music and the
drinks were on flow, so made for a fun night.

My last memory of the eve, and no the camera wasn't
shaking, this was pretty close to my vision level hehe.
It happens okay!

Anyway, the weekend continues - more friends
to see, more fun shit to do...

Some great shots by Gloria Calderon from our island trip

Absolutely Ridiculous! Are you plain stupid? In a city that's been through so much you do something like this! And spend my tax payer dollars at that, on a photo shoot. Our government is becoming a joke.

Traveling back to Miami today and then NYC Monday. Will be a fun return. Plan on doing a little Tribeca Film Festival, and also connecting with the amigos. I was out of the game for a while, but now have some breathing room to do the old Eddy and enjoy some summer in NYC and Lamptons. Freedom feels great and people like the old Edro back (I promise he won't ever leave again and will also stay out past 1 AM from now on)!
Anyway this is what I'm listening to at the moment while traveling... Manu Chao is off the chain.

PS Trip to Galapagos Islands is in planning phase for mid summer, so if you're down let me know. This isn't St.Tropez or Cannes, I'm talking about limits of the world shit here - guest appearance by Charles Darwin.

Beautiful Image by Gloria Calderon from our Miramar Property
One unexpected effect of the economic downturn...

My buddy Marcos brought something up that was an outrage to him. When I heard about, it was a fight I decided to take on as well. Unfortunately Marcos and many others are the victims of corporations, restaurants, and even friends buying cheap toilet paper due to these tough times. This in effect causes massive outbreaks of chapped ass, and if you look closely, you'll see many people walking with a slight limp. This must stop! People need to stock fine TP before this becomes a pandemic.

K3 Charger: Solar and Wind Power to Go

Imagine you’re lost in the woods, having wandered off the hiking trail. It’s looking like you may have to bed down on some pine needles with what’s left of the granola bars, when your friend whips out a little device that looks like a small fan. What’s that? It’s the K3 Charger - a compact hybrid wind-and-solar power generator about the size of a flashlight. The handy green gadget allows consumers to recharge an iPod, cell phone, PDA, or other electronic device using renewable energy!

PG&E Announces Solar Power From Space By 2016!!!

Microwave beams sending electricity from space to power our homes may sound like a concept straight out of a science fiction novel, but with a recent announcement from PG&E, we may actually see a solar powered space station in the near future. The system would consist of a series of solar powered satellites 22,000 miles above the Earth’s equator that would generate electricity, convert it into radio waves and then transmit to a base station on Earth. PG&E has entered into a contract with California-based SolarEn Corp. to supply 200 MW of power by 2016. If they succeed in making space solar power affordable, this new technology could be a huge contender in meeting the world’s energy needs.

Back in Costa Rica

So after a short stop in Miami I'm finally back in the CR. I warmed up a little to Miami this trip. Incredible weather, ridiculous women, and a business climate that i can get used to. It was funny to see all of the retired Russian people my parents age who are down there. Its literally like NY in Miami, same faces (just tanner). For people my parents age I can't imagine anything better - friends, Russian restaurants, and beach. Me personally, not ready to retire just yet, but I liked what I saw and have some great friends down there.
It was weird when I got to Costa, because even though it didn't feel like home, I felt comfortable. I feel relaxed here (just like Cali) even when work is crazy. This is probably the defining week of my career as we meet with banks and finalize the process. For 5 years I was waiting to get to this point and start sales already. After an incredibly long process with marketing, engineering, architecture etc. it's finally all coming to fruition. And just as I exhale a sigh of relief, we have to do it all again for the beach project. Small piece of advice to any developer, don't try to launch two simultaneous developments unless you have to!
Anyway time to go to Officemax and print some presentations but nice to be back in action!
